PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:
Athletic Trainer/Orthopedic Technologist
· Travel nationally and world-wide while being responsible for all phases of health care in the athletic environment, including injury prevention, providing initial first aid and injury management, evaluating injuries, and designing and supervising effective program of rehabilitation in all settings of the profession (professional, amateur, youth, recreation and industrial)
· Create and implement various programs to help educate and bring awareness about the importance of prevention, care and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Speak throughout the community and local high schools, teaching various aspects of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine.
· Work closely with Orthopedic Surgeons with back office duties such as casting, assisting with sterile procedures, instructing patients in therapeutic exercise and functional rehabilitation (pre and post operative) and, assist the doctors in surgery at Sutter Roseville Hospital.
· Work closely with team physician and management personal to design, build and manage the Athletic Training Facility for the newly formed World Football League (WFL) and later, the Canadian Football League (CFL) in Sacramento, California.
Instructor of safety, principles and techniques for a verity of courses offered by the City of Long Beach, Department of Recreation such as Fitness Training, Sailing, Wind-surfing, Cross-Country Running and Canoeing.
